Monday - Share some responses from introductory questions, intro to When the Emperor was Divine and historical artifacts.

Wednesday - Intro journal entries and start rereading.

Homework - Finish rereading the first section of When the Emperor was Divine ("EVACUATION ORDER NO. 19") for tomorrow and complete a journal entry.  Be ready to share and hand this in.

Thursday - Share journal entries and discuss the first section.

Homework - Reread ONE of the following sections from the book for tomorrow: "TRAIN," "WHEN THE EMPEROR WAS DIVINE," or "IN A STRANGER'S BACKYARD" for tomorrow and complete a journal entry.  Be ready to share and hand this in.

Friday - Share journal entries and discuss.

Homework - Reread the final section of When the Emperor was Divine ("CONFESSION") for Monday's in-class essay.  NO journal entry due Monday.
